Key Benefits
- Authentic Longevity Village Origin – Sourced directly from family farms in China’s renowned Longevity Village, where the unique combination of fertile soil, clean mountain water, and traditional farming practices produces rice with exceptional flavor, aroma, and nutritional quality that cannot be replicated by mass-produced commercial rice varieties.
- 2025 New Crop Freshness – Freshly harvested 2025 new crop rice, ensuring maximum freshness, optimal moisture content, and the full natural fragrance and flavor that only new season rice can deliver – a significant quality advantage over aged or stored rice that loses its aroma and texture over time.
- Mao Ya (Cat Tooth) Long-Grain Variety – The Mao Ya variety is named for its distinctive slender, elongated grains that resemble cat’s teeth – a premium Indica rice variety prized for its firm yet tender cooked texture, subtle natural fragrance, and the way each grain remains separate and distinct after cooking rather than clumping together.
- Perfect for Clay Pot Rice (Bao Zai Fan) – Specifically selected as the ideal rice for authentic clay pot rice cooking, where the long grains absorb flavors beautifully, develop a perfect golden crust at the bottom of the pot, and maintain their individual texture and bite – delivering the authentic clay pot rice experience that food lovers seek.
- Farm-Grown Natural Quality – Grown using traditional farming methods on family farms, this rice is free from the quality compromises of large-scale industrial rice production – delivering the natural flavor, aroma, and nutritional integrity that discerning consumers and professional chefs demand for premium rice dishes.
- Flexible Pack Sizes for Every Need – Available in 500g trial packs (1–4 bags), 2.5kg bags (1, 2, or 4 bags), 5kg bags, and 10kg bags (1, 2, or 3 bags) – from small household trial packs to large family and restaurant quantities, with better value per kilogram in larger sizes.
How to Cook
For best results, rinse the rice 1–2 times in cold water until the water runs relatively clear – avoid over-rinsing to preserve the natural starch that gives the rice its characteristic texture. For steamed rice: use a 1:1.2 to 1:1.3 rice-to-water ratio (adjust slightly based on your preference for softer or firmer rice). Bring to a boil, then reduce to the lowest heat, cover tightly, and cook for 12–15 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand covered for 5 minutes before serving. For clay pot rice: soak the rice for 20–30 minutes before cooking. Add rice and water to the clay pot (1:1.1 ratio), bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to low heat and cook until the water is absorbed. Drizzle a small amount of oil around the edge of the pot and continue on low heat for 3–5 minutes to develop the golden crust. Add your toppings (sausage, chicken, vegetables) and serve directly from the pot. Store uncooked rice in a cool, dry, airtight container away from direct sunlight and strong odors.
