HW Mixed-Flow Pump – Diesel Engine Large Agricultural Irrigation Centrifugal Pump for Flood Control, Drainage & Mobile Pump Truck Applications

Handle the most demanding large-scale water transfer challenges with our HW Mixed-Flow Pump. Engineered for high-volume agricultural irrigation, flood control, and emergency drainage applications, this corrosion-resistant centrifugal pump delivers exceptional flow rates and reliable performance when powered by a diesel engine. Available in pump head sizes from 4-inch (100HW) to 12-inch (300HW), with options for complete horsepower-matched sets and mobile pump truck configurations, it is the go-to solution for large farmland irrigation, flood control operations, and industrial drainage projects.

Key Benefits

  • High-Volume Mixed-Flow Design – The HW mixed-flow pump design combines the high flow rate characteristics of axial-flow pumps with the higher head pressure of centrifugal pumps, delivering exceptional water volume at moderate head – ideal for large-scale agricultural irrigation, flood control, and drainage applications requiring high-flow, reliable water transfer.
  • Diesel Engine Powered – Designed for use with diesel engines, providing powerful, independent operation without reliance on grid electricity – making it the ideal solution for remote farmland, flood control operations, and emergency drainage scenarios where electrical power is unavailable or unreliable.
  • Corrosion-Resistant Construction – Built with corrosion-resistant materials throughout the pump body and impeller, ensuring long service life when handling irrigation water, floodwater, and other water sources that may contain sediment, chemicals, or corrosive elements common in agricultural environments.
  • Wide Size Range – Available in 100HW (4-inch), 150HW (5-6 inch), 200HW (8-inch), 250HW (10-inch), and 300HW (12-inch) pump head sizes to match any large-scale irrigation or drainage application, from medium-sized farm operations to major flood control and industrial drainage projects.
  • Complete System Options – Available as individual pump heads, horsepower-matched complete sets (6HP matching 8HP), or fully configured mobile pump truck packages – providing flexible purchasing options for operators who need a complete, ready-to-deploy water transfer solution.
  • Mobile Pump Truck Compatible – Designed for integration with mobile pump trucks, enabling rapid deployment and repositioning across large agricultural fields, flood-affected areas, and construction sites – delivering the operational flexibility that fixed pump installations cannot provide.

How to Use

Select the appropriate pump head size based on your required flow rate, head pressure, and diesel engine power output. For complete system purchases, ensure the engine horsepower matches the pump head specification. Position the pump at the water source with the inlet submerged to the appropriate depth. Connect the suction pipe to the pump inlet and the discharge pipe to the outlet, ensuring all connections are sealed and secure. Prime the pump by filling the casing with water before starting the diesel engine. Start the engine and gradually increase to operating speed, monitoring water flow at the discharge outlet. Adjust engine speed to achieve the desired flow rate and pressure. For mobile pump truck configurations, secure the pump assembly to the truck frame before operation and ensure the truck is positioned on stable, level ground. After use, flush the pump with clean water and drain completely before storage. Inspect impeller, seals, and bearings regularly for wear and replace as needed to maintain peak performance.
